Born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, with Indian heritage, Ria experienced a culturally rich and diverse upbringing that cultivated her appreciation for the arts. She began formal vocal training at the age of 8, while also developing a passion for dance, specializing in hip-hop and street styles. Ria received a scholarship to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City where she continued her artistic training.

She currently works with the two-time Tony Award-winning production company Fran Kirmser LLC and the Bessie Award-nominated J CHEN PROJECT. She received an award from the New York State Assembly recognizing her contributions to the contemporary dance production AAPI Heroes. 

Her notable stage credits include performing in the 60th season of the award-winning Weathervane Theatre, where she appeared as Sandy Dumbrowski in Grease, Darlene Purvis in Honky Tonk Angels, and Miranda in The Tempest. She also toured nationally with AAPI Heroes through J CHEN PROJECT, portraying Indian-American astronaut Sunita Williams. 

She is forever grateful to continue doing what she loves and for the unwavering support of her family, friends, and teachers.
